Cotswold Airport has released details for its 2016 Aviation Scholarship.

'The Cotswold Airport Aviation Scholarship', which launched in 2007, offers local scholars from Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire (UK), between the ages of 14 and 18 years, the unique opportunity to experience all career options available within the aviation sector. The ethos is to provide them that vital initial experience that will put them on the first rung of the ladder to their chosen career path, and give them eight hours of flight training.

Funded by Cotswold Airport owner Ronan Harvey, the two-week scholarship programme, which runs during the school Easter holidays at the airport's aviation ground school, has already helped change the lives of many scholars, helping them embark in an aviation-based industry, whether it be military, commercial flying, engineering or air traffic services.

Applications can be submitted until 19th February 2016. Details and application forms can be found at  www.cotswoldairport.com/kemble-airport-aviation-scholarships

Out of a past average of 80 to 100 applicants, 20 lucky young people are selected to be interviewed by the Cotswold Airport Board of Directors. From that interview process twelve finalists and one runner up will be chose
