FlightSafety International has received Level D qualification from the United States Federal Aviation Administration for two Cessna Caravan aircraft simulators located at its Wichita East Learning Center in Kansas. The simulators are equipped with Garmin G1000 and Garmin G600 avionics. Qualification by other authorities will be accomplished in accordance with customer requirements.

The simulators feature FlightSafety’s VITAL 1100 visual system that simulates the imagery and environmental conditions experienced during aircraft taxi, takeoff, en-route and tactical flight operations as well as visual navigational and instrument flight procedures and landing maneuvers. Simulated flight conditions include continuous time of day, night, dawn/dusk and a comprehensive set of weather features. High-definition micro texture provides additional scene resolution that gives crew members the necessary cues to train for virtually any altitude and position. Training benefits also include a whole-Earth environment and worldwide database that incorporates the latest terrain information with geo-specific satellite images.
