Langkawi, Malaysia-based flight training school HM Aerospace has acquired a third AL42 simulator from Alsim.

Alsim developed the AL42 as an exact copy of the Diamond DA42, incorporating technology such as Performance-based Navigation (PBN) and a High Definition Visual System (HDVS). HM Aerospace was the first approved training organisation (ATO) in Malaysia to use the Diamond series aircraft (DA-40/DA-42) for flight training.

HM Aerospace was also the first to introduce the Alsim FNPT II Simulator featuring the GARMIN G-1000 Glass Cockpit in South East Asia.

“We’ve been working with Alsim for years now and we really have trust in their products,” explained Romain Chomel, Head of Training for HM Aerospace. “We are very satisfied with their after-sales service as they have always provided us with adequate guidance when we needed assistance related to maintenance and certification. With this new simulator incorporating the latest technology, our ATO will stay in line with industry requirements and we will be able to deliver better training solutions to our customers.”

As a member of the Halim Mazmin Group, HMA has the capacity to train a minimum of 200 cadet pilots per year at its Langkawi facilities.
