Avsoft is pleased to announce the release of its Upset Recovery (UPRT) Course for pilots.

Based on customer demand, Avsoft has developed a course that explores the important concepts, definitions, limitations, components and procedures related to Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT). This course covers both jet and turboprop aircraft, users can select the applicable aircraft type at the beginning of the course.

Topics discussed include weather-induced upsets, system-induced upsets, pilot-induced upsets, energy states of an aircraft, aerodynamics, aircraft handling at high altitude, upset assessment, stall recognition and recovery, and nose high and nose low upsets.

This course is designed to comply with EASA, FAA, ICAO, and Transport Canada regulations and to provide pilots with about three hours of initial training. Customers have the option of customising this course to be a recurrent course.

Each of the three modules in Avsoft’s Upset Recovery (UPRT) Course concludes with a test, and when all the modular tests are successfully completed, a certificate of completion is generated. Customers also have the option of creating a final exam.
