Avsoft has been awarded a long-term contract from SATENA, a government-owned airline based in Bogotá, Colombia, to provide its ATR 42-500, Embraer ERJ 145, and Embraer E170 aircraft systems courses, Low Visibility OPS, PBN- RNP, RVSM general subject courses and LMS services.

SATENA will use Avsoft’s courses for both initial training of new pilots from the Colombian Air Force as well as recurrent pilot training.

“We chose Avsoft because their developments are easily differentiated from everything else on the eLearning market. They offered us exclusive and high LMS standards and unique web development capability which is easy to understand and contributes to an enjoyable learning process. All their projects are founded upon high aviation standards from the very start of the development process,” said Captain Miguel Gomez, Chief of Training, SATENA Flight Operations School.

SATENA operates domestic flights throughout Colombia from its main hub at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá. SATENA’s fleet of ATR 42-500, ATR 42-600, Embraer ERJ 145, Embraer E170, and Harbin Y-12 aircraft allow it to service a wide range of destinations, including many remote and isolated locations.

Avsoft also recently announced it is working with Canada's R1 Airlines.
