The airBaltic Training Center has installed the world's first Bombardier C Series virtual simulator (VSIM) in order to help train C Series pilots more efficiently.

Vilmantas Mažonas, managing director of airBaltic Training commented: "The new virtual simulator will serve as an advanced level of training using virtual technologies for the pilot pre-training before type ratings, safety case investigation, operational procedures testing as well as a recurrent training quality improvement device. This virtual simulator is a prelude before acquisition of a C Series full flight simulator in the future."

By the end of 2019, airBaltic is planning to have 20 Bombardier CS300 aircraft in its fleet.
