Tom Stelter, CEO of RSi Visual Systems and respected industry veteran, retired at the end of June. Craig Phillips, principal and current CTO, will assume the CEO's responsibilities.

Tom's career in the aviation training industry spans more than 40 years, starting with his time in the United States Air Force, where he first met Jeff Everett who was to become an owner and the president of RSi Visual Systems. Tom also spent time at Rediffusion Simulation where he oversaw both Jeff Everett and Craig Phillips who were young Field Engineers at the time.

Tom went on to be the Manager of Engineering at SimuFlite which was eventually bought by CAE. Tom would stay with CAE for 18 years, retiring in 2009 from his position as VP of Training & Services Innovation for all of North America.

Shortly after retiring from CAE, Tom joined RSi Visual Systems as CEO, where he managed the merger between RSi and RCSim.

"We wanted to bring Tom on as CEO because he had been a mentor to both Jeff and I early on in our careers and we knew we could trust him to help us manage the business and take our company to the next level. Tom's leadership was crucial to the growth and success we have enjoyed over the last decade," said Craig Phillips.

Jeff Everett commented, "Tom has an incredible talent for developing people. When he has a vision, he is able to build the right team to carry out that vision. Without his wisdom and guidance, RSi would not be where it is today. We are truly grateful for his service and wish him the best in his retirement."
