In an interview held during APATS with Ben Lam, Managing Director Aviation Training Division, Chris Long got an update on the progress of HAITE Group’s build up of aviation training capability. The rationale behind this build up is that the supply of airline training needs to be customer-centric - a culture which Lam says is at the heart of HAITE Group’s activities. Airlines require tailored solutions, and HAITE have that clearly in mind.
In addition to the 2 Full Flight Simulators (FFS) — an Airbus A320 and a Boeing B737NG — in Singapore, there are also 6 FFSs — a Boeing B737 CL, 2 Boeing B737NG, and 3 Airbus A320s at the home base in Kunming, China. The FFSs have been supplied by a range of manufacturers, including CAE, FlightSafety International and ACCEL. In addition, 4 Cabin Crew devices, manufactured by Xying, a Chinese company are also available.
The Singapore base received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) in June 2017, and it is expected to have the same from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), by the end of 2018. Details of further products will be released by the end of 2018.
One to watch.
