L3Harris Technologies has launched its Competency Assessment Recording Application (CARA) to help improve pilot training.
This new product will support trainers and instructors by collecting data based on observed behaviors, core pilot competencies and other data points during training. The software also helps deliver and assess more tailored training for specific airline operational requirements.
The iPad application will be an essential pilot training tool in assessing cognitive and competency skills. It is designed to support evidence-based training, where the data-driven feedback is aligned with simulator data to enable trainers to provide more observational assessment and feedback.
“CARA will provide significant benefits to pilot training programs,” said Alan Crawford, President, Commercial Aviation, L3Harris. “Utilizing data to provide detailed insights will enable customers to embrace evidence-based training and offer the highest quality training available.”
