DiSTI Corporation is entering a new partnership with HAVELSAN to develop 3-D virtual training solutions and build the Virtual Training Center of Excellence in HAVELSAN’s hometown of Ankara, Turkey. HAVELSAN is a private company and a division of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, and specializes in systems integration in the areas of defense, aerospace and IT.
This is part of DiSTI’s plan to expand its global reach through a select number of strategic partnerships to develop new industry solutions. The jointly-build center will deliver training and certification courses and to provide customers with a facility to conduct rapid demonstration development and prototyping – and will address today’s training needs using a variety of delivery platforms such as classroom desktops and mobile laptops or tablets.
“We have worked with DiSTI products for many years in the development of our simulation products and recently delivered a program using DiSTI’s VE Studio for building a virtual training solution for the F-16 aircraft,” said HAVELSAN Vice President of Training and Simulation Technologies, Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar. “Based on the success of this project, we have decided to expand our relationship with DiSTI and establish a strategic partnership to standardize on using VE Studio as a technology platform and co-market our solutions to customers requiring virtual training solutions.”
