The Australian Army signed another two-year license agreement for the Titan Vanguard simulation environment it has been using for the past two years to have a synthetic environment in a variety of simulators across each of the three services. This new agreement places Vanguard in the heart of the Army’s Land Simulation Core (LS Core) environment and enhances the Australian Army’s ability to support Simulation enabled Collective Training (SeCT).
According to Australia’s Army Simulation Manual (ASM), the Land Simulation Core (LS Core) is the focal point of the Land Simulation Capability and is responsible for the provision and maintenance of software, data and tools required to support the Live, Virtual and Constructive simulation training domains. LS Core delivers enhanced simulation interoperability while reducing sustainment and training overhead costs.
Titan Vanguard provides a holistic simulation environment that provides for training of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) at any point in the world. Royal Australian Artillery (RAA) and Army Aviation (AAvn) are also using Titan Vanguard as the virtual simulation system of choice for a number of projects. Titan Vanguard is built on the Outerra simulation engine and was developed by Titan Integrated Military (Titan IM) and Calytrix Technologies. The product delivers a ‘Whole of World’ simulation environment covering space, air, land, sea and sub-surface applications. Calytrix will provide project management, licensing management, software development and conduct training courses throughout Australia.
