FAAC Incorporated, a subsidiary of Arotech Corporation’s Training and Simulation Division, won a three-year, $1.9-million contract to continue providing software support and improvement efforts for the Taiwan Training Range. FAAC will deliver SimBuilder™ simulation software enhancements, new weapon models, on-site training and on-site support services and software sustainment.

SimBuilder is an exportable weapon system and Integrated Air Defense system modeling solution that FAAC delivered to Taiwan in early 2000 with Air Combat Environment for Testing and Training (FACETT®). With this contract FAAC will advance the constructive modeling capabilities of FACETT and offer more flexibility in instructor debrief and replay mode.

SimBuilder provides the software infrastructure Taiwan’s Training Range capability. The system shows generic simulation modules for weapon subsystems included in air-to-air, surface-to-air, surface-to-surface and air-to-surface guided weapons. FAAC says the design gives users the flexibility to modify weapon parameters with their intelligence/source information and produces simulations to meet users’ performance expectations and training needs.
