Rockwell Collins has launched SecureOne™ User-defined Cross Domain Guard to enable flexible, scalable and secure information exchange between national and multinational entities. The new solution, announced at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) 2018, helps meet cybersecurity requirements in increasingly complex military training environments.
“Today’s training ranges need a solution that supports secure and simultaneous sharing of data across networks of different classification levels – Top Secret through Unclassified – to provide greater interoperability,” said Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of Communication, Navigation & Electronic Warfare Solutions for Rockwell Collins. “The SecureOne User-defined Cross Domain Guard provides a modular design that lets customers use units individually or collectively to meet these requirements.”
The new solution builds on Rockwell Collins’ 20-year history of providing high assurance cross domain solutions (CDS) founded on Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS). When coupled with Rockwell Collins’ SecureOne MILS Encryptor, it enables the use of unclassified networks for data flows between secure, distributed locations. With SecureOne at the other end, data is sent to the appropriate destination security enclave. In addition, integrators and end users can rapidly change rulesets as security policies evolve, which eliminates any ongoing dependence on the CDS original equipment manufacturer, as well as annual fees and maintenance licenses.
The SecureOne User-defined Cross Domain Guard is an accredited, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) CDS available today for the United States and other Five-Eye nations (Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom), and internationally in 2020.
