The seventh episode of "Developing Mach-21Airmen," Air Education and Training Command's professional developmentpodcast series, was released April 15.
In the episode, Master Sgt. Bryan Dudley, the emergencymanager training flight chief for the 368th Training Squadron at Fort LeonardWood, Missouri, and a detachment of the 82nd Training Wing based at SheppardAir Force Base, Texas, talks all things related to innovation and the futureshaping of the learning environment.
Dudley goes in-depth on the curriculum development process: the368th TRS used to reimagine what their initial skills training course lookedlike, in fact leading to a revamp that the emergency management career fielddidn’t envision when they started.
Specifically, Dudley talks to how the idea was hatched toinclude buy-in from the career field; how they overcame obstacles like manpowerand time to do the revamp; and the work they did with their functionalcommunity to source subject matter experts from across the career field toinclude the Air Force Civil Engineer Center as they prepare to roll out a newcurriculum in May 2019.
