Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) alongside standpartners will showcase a range of training solutions built on the BISim productline for land, sea and air use cases at ITEC 2019 (stand ID40). TheInternational Forum for the Military Simulation, Training and EducationCommunity (ITEC) is being held in Stockholm, Sweden, at the Stockholmsmässanfrom May 14 to 16.
Existing BISim products serve as the base for the latestdevelopments made in partnership with partners TerraSim, SimCentricTechnologies, QuantaDyn Corporation and Novatech, and feature hardware providedby AFV Sim and Schenker. Demonstrations at ITEC 2019 will utilize BISimtechnology as the simulation platform for a range of new capabilities fordifferent products and training applications including a VR flight trainer;high-performance image generator; high-fidelity, part-task gunnery training;and a VR RHIB driver trainer.
In addition to the latest training solutions, BISim willalso be demonstrating advances made to their new cloud-enabled, whole-earthsimulation engine, Virtual Battlespace Synthetic Training Environment (VBSSTE), which supports future military training requirements. VBS STE was firstdemoed in November 2018 at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and EducationConference (I/ITSEC) as technology being developed through funded research anddevelopment for One World Terrain. BISim is under contract to prototype furtherU.S. Army STE concepts.
Some of the specific demonstrations available at the BISimbooth include BISim’s new whole-earth simulation engine VBS STE demoed onSchenker’s laptops, as well as a VR-based Part-Task Flight Trainer, developedfor the U.S. Navy and leveraging VBS Blue IG, BISim’s 3D whole-earth imagegenerator.
