Recently, QuantaDyn purchased 51 MetaVR Virtual RealityScene Generator (VRSG) software licenses for 24 US Air Force desktop trainingsystems, called Joint Terminal Control (JTC) Training and Rehearsal System(TRS) desktop systems. These training systems will be installed at ACC, AFSOC,PACAF and AETC units to support the US National Defense Strategy by simulatingrealistic close-air-support planning, coordination and execution in a networkedvirtual world.
These 24 JTC TRS desktop systems are based on QuantaDyn’sDT100 (Desktop Trainer 100) system, which provides three distinct stations(instructor, student and pilot/role player) that allow for a modular setupwithin a 10-by-9-foot small training area. The JTC TRS desktop system usesMetaVR 3D content and VRSG for the real-time 3D visualization of thebattlespace, while friendly and opposing forces are simulated by theBattlespace Simulations’ Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE).
