Alion Science and Technology announced that Katie Selbe hasbeen named senior Vice President (VP) and general manager of Alion’s CyberNetwork Solutions Group.
In this role, Selbe will lead a portfolio of programs andcapabilities delivering cross-domain network engineering, cyber hardening andoperations; modeling and simulation; Live, Virtual and Constructive training;and big data analysis, cloud architecture and integrated artificialintelligence (AI). The Cyber Network Solutions Group provides engineering andtechnical expertise, product development, program management, and technicalsupport services to a customer base that includes the Department of Defense andIntelligence communities.

Prior to joining Alion, Selbe was director of the NationalMission Capabilities (NMC) operating unit in Cyber and Intelligence MissionSolutions (CIMS) division, part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems sector. Inthis role, Selbe had responsibility for the overall growth and programactivities of NMC’s portfolio, including a wide range of intelligence,surveillance and cyber technologies and mission solutions for the nationalsecurity customers.
Selbe served as the operating unit director National Cyberand Intelligence Solutions (NCIS) in CIMS, where she oversaw all growth andprogram activities including full spectrum cyber, multi-int enterprise datamanagement and integration, as well as mission-enabling cyber solutionssupporting the intelligence community.
Selbe also held the position of director of Air Command andControl (C2), an operating unit in the C2 division, part of the former NorthropGrumman’s Information Systems sector.
Selbe earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systemsengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree insystems engineering from George Mason University. She also completed theUniversity of Chicago Booth School of Business Strategy Development Program.
