Halldale Group, the world's leading voice in the simulation training sector, has agreed a new charitable partnership with Wings for Warriors, a UK-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering wounded military veterans. This collaboration aims to raise awareness and support for Wings for Warriors' mission of providing veterans with training and pathways to rewarding civilian aviation careers.
The aviation industry currently faces a global labor shortage, with demand for skilled pilots, mechanics, operations staff and other roles outpacing supply. Simultaneously, many military veterans, particularly those with life-changing injuries, struggle with the transition to private sector work after completing their service. Wings for Warriors bridges this divide by offering specialised aviation training programs to prepare wounded, injured or sick veterans for high-demand industry roles while leveraging their unique experience and capabilities.
"We are proud to join forces with Wings for Warriors and assist their noble efforts in connecting exceptional military veterans with long-term aviation career opportunities," said Andy Smith, Founder and CEO of Halldale Group. "Their vital programs and services play a crucial role in resolving the industry's staffing challenges while creating bright professional futures for the honoured members of our armed forces communities.
"Veteran's service experience and training can play a crucial role in resolving the industry's staffing challenges, while supplying crucial leadership skills which the aviation sector is now lacking. We look forward to supporting the creation of bright professional futures for our deserving veteran communities."
Through the partnership, Halldale Group will utilise its position as the premier global aviation simulation training resource to generate impactful visibility, recruiting and fundraising support for Wings for Warriors. The two organisations will collaborate on multimedia storytelling, event integrations, promotional campaigns and more to expand awareness and charitable giving contributions.
"Our team is extremely grateful for Halldale's generosity and commitment to empowering our nation's veterans through this partnership," said Mark Radcliffe, Wings for Warriors Founder and Director. "With Halldale's assistance in amplifying our mission, we can open more life-changing career avenues in aviation for those who have given so much service in the Armed Forces."
Wings for Warriors will be a key part of the European Airline Training Symposium (EATS) 2024 in Cascais, Portugal from 5-7th November.
Since 2012, Wings for Warriors has facilitated more than 25 career transitions for UK military veterans through its accelerated certification courses and job placement initiatives.
Later this year, they will launch their ‘Veterans’ Flying Academy’ from a converted farmhouse close to Gloucestershire Airport in the UK. The charity intends to register for its own ATO approval and has received a government grant to allow them to employ a full-time instructor on a competitive package
They hope this move, along with more funding and volunteers from the pilot training community, can help them increase the number of military personnel they can support.
