The US Army has attributed a recent surge in helicopter accidents to rushed training and pilot errors, with 14 major incidents and 11 fatalities in the past year, according to National Defense.

Brig. Gen. Matthew Braman highlighted the need to focus on pilot mastery, noting the increased complexity of aircraft as a contributing factor. Investigations also found training deficiencies in simulators, particularly with pedal control. The Army is exploring solutions, including new tail rotor designs, to improve safety in high-altitude, heavy payload situations.
