The 101st Air Assault Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade has become the first active-duty unit to field AVT Simulation’s new Apache Gunnery Trainer, according to National Defense Magazine.
This portable procedural trainer mirrors the real Apache cockpit, featuring various modes for comprehensive training, including a “tutorial” mode, “switchology” mode, and “gunnery” mode. The system enhances training efficiency by reducing the time needed to achieve proficiency, thanks to its realistic and interactive design.
The Brigade acquired two models to support synchronized training for team operations.
