The Indian Air Force (IAF) will undertake its largest ever multinational air exercise to be held in the country, in August.

Phase I of the exercises (August 6-14) will involve participation from Germany, France, Spain, and the UK and take place at Air Force Station Sulur, located in Southern India.

Phase II of the exercises series which runs from August 29 to September 14 will take place at Air Force Station Jodhpur in Western India and will involve Australia, Bangladesh, Singapore, Greece, UAE and the US as participating air forces.

The 2nd phase will also include observers from 18 countries.

According to an IAF spokesperson, the focus of Ex Tarang Shakti is to enhance mutual understanding of air power, undertake realistic operations, and showcasing indigenous defense equipment.
