The Indian Navy’s frontline Frigate, INS Tabar was recently part of Maritime Partnership Exercises (MPX) held with the Russian and German Navies.

INS Tabar had arrived in St. Petersburg in late July to participate in the 328thRussian Navy Day Parade celebrations, following which it undertook an MPX with the Russian Navy Ship Soobrazitelny, which involved a series of complex naval manoeuvres, including communication drills, search & rescue tactics and replenishment-at-sea serials.

On her return leg return leg from St Petersburg, INS Tabar conducted a MPX with German Navy off Kiel Canal on 5 August. This involved a series of advanced maritime operations with a Sea Lynx maritime helicopter of the German Navy’s 3rd Squadron Naval Air Wing 5 (MFG5) which included Ship Controlled Approaches, winching exercises and Vertical Replenishment serials.
