U.S. and Indian forces are incorporating satellite and unmanned technologies into Tiger Triumph 25 for the first time this April. The two-week joint humanitarian assistance and disaster response exercise began 1 April, involving around 3,000 personnel, four ships, and seven aircraft.

“Every time we work with our strategic partners in India, we advance the complexity of our training,” said Rear Adm. Greg Newkirk. “By introducing new technologies this year, we’re adding to the tools our joint combined forces can use in any scenario.”

The exercise includes collaboration on unclassified satellite imagery and data use, led by U.S. Space Forces-Indo-Pacific, and deployment of unmanned systems supported by Task Force 59.

U.S. Navy units include USS Comstock, USS Ralph Johnson, Navy P-8A Poseidon, Air Force C-130Js, and Army elements. Indian participants include ships INS Jalashwa, Mumbai, Gharial, Shakti, P-8I aircraft, and Indian Army and Air Force assets.

Tiger Triumph 25 also featured the first U.S.-India industry exchange on autonomous systems, laying groundwork for deeper integration in future exercises and advancing the Autonomous Systems Industry Alliance announced in February.
