Broward Health Medical Center has launched a new Advanced Training Simulation Lab, highlighted by the introduction of the Advanced HAL S3201 patient simulator. The high-fidelity system mimics realistic medical conditions—such as changes in breathing, heart rate, and vital signs—offering clinicians a risk-free environment to sharpen procedural skills and decision-making.

The simulator enables practice for routine and critical procedures, including airway management, defibrillation, and code blue scenarios, while providing real-time feedback and performance tracking.

“The new simulator allows us to immerse our nurses in scenarios they may encounter in their day-to-day procedures,” said Manny Linares, CEO of Broward Health Medical Center. “Simulation is an evidence-based approach that enhances clinical skills, strengthens critical thinking and contributes to better patient outcomes. As a Level I trauma hospital, we’re thrilled to offer this advanced training tool to our clinicians as part of our commitment to providing the highest quality care to our community.”

Chief Nursing Officer Donna Small added that the technology elevates the quality of training across clinical teams. In addition to benefiting nursing staff, the simulator will be used by emergency medical personnel, ICU clinicians, and surgical teams.
