Ontario is investing over $1 million to expand NORCAT’s Underground Centre in Sudbury. The funding will support a new facility with training rooms, a service shop, and equipment for developing and testing mining technologies.
This expansion aims to boost innovation and workforce development in Ontario’s mining sector. An additional $1.5 million will also fund upgrades to the municipal pool in Elliot Lake.
Since 2018, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation has supported thousands of regional projects, fostering job creation and economic growth.
