Bucks County has approved a new advanced rail emergency training facility in Bristol Township, the first of its kind in Pennsylvania.

A partnership between the county, Bucks County Community College, Conrail, and Dow Chemical will enable construction of a rail spur at the Lower Bucks Public Safety Training Center. The site will offer realistic training for local and regional emergency personnel to handle hazardous rail incidents. Dow will provide mobile training equipment, and the facility is expected to open in 2026.
