Avsoft International has added a Flight Instruments- LDS module to its B767-200SF/300SF aircraft system course. The Large Display System (LDS) is a flight instrument upgrade for 757/767 aircraft which features three large display units.
Avsoft created the Flight Instruments- LDS module based on an urgent need from 21 Air, a client that operates a growing fleet of 767 cargo aircraft.
"Our fleet at 21 Air was being expanded with the addition of Collins Large Display System (LDS) aircraft. To satisfy the FAA training requirements and meet our startup deadline we turned to Avsoft for help,” said 21 Air Fleet Manager Vance Holbrook.
B767 Special Freighter (SF) aircraft are converted passenger aircraft; Avsoft’s course covers both the -200SF and -300SF models. The course includes 27 modules that explore all the components, operations, controls and indicators associated with each aircraft system. This course includes the legacy EFIS, FPDS, and LDS flight instrument systems, as well as both the General Electric CF6-80A2 engines and Pratt & Whitney PW JT9D engines
Avsoft’s B767-200SF/300SF online aviation course is SCORM compliant and can be delivered on any LMS. Each of the 27 modules concludes with a test, and when the course is successfully completed, a certificate is generated. Airlines and ATOs have the option of editing test questions, as well as creating a final exam.
