The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan has conducted an evaluation of the Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) initial training program at the Flight Training Europe Jerez center in Spain. This program, designed for Air Astana JSC, was assessed in Jerez de la Frontera and Madrid.

The evaluation, led by Adilzhan Sultanov, Director of the Licensing Department, and supported by aviation inspectors, focused on quality management procedures, flight safety practices, documentation, instructor qualifications, and flight simulation training devices (FSTD). The commission observed various aspects of the training program, including theoretical instruction, simulator sessions using FSTD A320 and DA42 devices, and practical flight training on Piper Warrior II aircraft.

Specifically tailored to Air Astana’s operational requirements, the program incorporates multi-crew operations and type rating training for A320 simulators early in the training process. This ensures that trainees gain relevant, airline-specific skills while reducing overall training time.

Following the evaluation, the commission concluded that the MPL training program could be approved for further implementation at Flight Training Europe Jerez for Air Astana. The program aligns with international aviation standards, offering a focused approach to pilot readiness for airline operations.

Flight Training Europe Jerez, operating for over 20 years, specializes in pilot training for airlines such as Aer Lingus, British Airways, and easyJet.
