The Flight Operations & Flight Dispatch Training Program officially commenced at the Indian Aviation Academy, New Delhi. The program is fully organized by IFOA India, marking a significant step in advancing aviation training and professional development in the country.

The training program is led by Kenneth Kronborg, an aviation trainer and COO of the International Flight Operations Academy (IFOA), alongside Capt. Sudarshan Pandey, Managing Partner of IFOA India. The inaugural session was graced by Senthilvel Balasubramanian, Officiating Director and GM-Training at Indian Aviation Academy, who addressed the participants and emphasized the crucial role of specialized training in aviation.

The International Flight Operations Academy (IFOA) is a recognized institution focused on aviation training. With headquarters in Switzerland, IFOA has been providing flight operations training that aligns with international standards. IFOA India, its dedicated arm in the country, aims to bridge the skill gap in the Indian aviation sector by offering training programs suited to regional requirements.

Running from March 31 to April 25, 2025, the program is designed to equip aviation professionals with skills in flight dispatch and operations. Given the growing need for trained flight dispatchers in India’s expanding aviation sector, this initiative is timely and necessary.

With a shortage of trained flight dispatchers in India, programs like this help address the demand. The course combines theoretical knowledge, hands-on training and field visits, preparing participants for operational roles in aviation.

India’s aviation sector is expanding, with airlines growing their fleets and new players entering the market. However, this growth has also led to a need for qualified flight dispatchers who contribute to flight safety and efficiency.

This training program is the beginning of a broader initiative by IFOA India to develop skilled aviation professionals. By offering training aligned with industry requirements, IFOA India aims to support the development of flight operations and dispatch in India.

As the program progresses, participants will receive training in aviation regulations, meteorology, navigation, aircraft systems, and operational procedures. The structured curriculum and interactive sessions help trainees gain the skills needed for their careers.

IFOA India thanks all stakeholders, trainers, and participants for their support. This program strengthens India’s aviation workforce and contributes to future training efforts in the sector.
