Women in Aviation International (WAI) has partnered with Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education (DEC) to offer a professional development course for emerging women leaders in aviation and aerospace. The program, titled Women in Leadership: A Program for Emerging Leaders, will take place on Harvard’s campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from 13-15 May 2025, with a virtual component scheduled for mid-June 2025.

Applications for the course are open now through 20 December 2024. This intensive three-day program is designed for women currently working in management positions within the aviation and aerospace industries. It focuses on developing leadership skills, including executive communication, strategic thinking, and negotiation. The course’s curriculum is based on Harvard’s DEC Professional Development department.

The program aims to help participants enhance their leadership abilities and grow their professional networks. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate from Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with peers and alumnae who can offer ongoing support.

The program is open to members of Women in Aviation International who are in management roles and have demonstrated strong leadership potential. A total of 30 women will be selected to receive funding support for the course, which includes program tuition, hotel accommodations, and meals for the duration of the on-campus portion. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs. Applicants must commit to attending all three days of the on-campus course and the virtual coaching day.

Funding for the program has been provided through a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
