FL Technics has launched an Aircraft Type Recurrent Training program designed for aircraft maintenance certifying staff and airworthiness personnel. This program aims to address industry-wide gaps in training quality and regulatory compliance by offering a flexible, online solution, available whenever it is needed by aviation professionals and organizations.

“Our new program was developed in response to the industry's challenges with inadequate online recurrent type training solutions,” explains Jonas Karalius, Training Manager at FL Technics. “Many existing programs lack depth and quality, often relying on static PDFs with minimal interactivity. Recognizing this shortfall, FL Technics created a training system that emphasizes technical proficiency and regulatory alignment.”

The program includes pre-recorded courses delivered by experienced instructors specializing in specific aircraft types. Using an asynchronous learning model, the program replicates the structure of a live virtual classroom, allowing participants to learn at their own pace.

Interactive quizzes and two-way feedback mechanisms further enhance the experience. Students can ask questions and seek clarification from instructors.

Traditional recurrent training often disrupts operations by requiring large groups of personnel to step away from their duties. FL Technics’ online approach enables individuals to schedule training around their responsibilities, minimizing downtime.

Additionally, the program streamlines administrative tasks for organizations. Training records, certifications, and renewal dates are digitally tracked and stored in customer accounts, simplifying compliance management and workforce planning.

Ensuring compliance with industry standards is at the heart of this program. FL Technics regularly updates its training materials to align with EASA Part-147 standards and incorporates the latest changes in airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other regulatory updates from the past 24 months. This ensures the program remains relevant and effective in the rapidly evolving aviation sector.

Upon completing the course, customers receive an instant training certificate detailing the completion date, the most recent course update, and the recommended timeline for future recurrent training. Automatic reminders for certificate expiry further support organizations in maintaining compliance effortlessly.
