The Swedish Air Force has selected Pitch Technologies’ Intuitech ACES as the synthetic fighter controller service to enhance the training realism and capability in the Gripen Mission Training System.

ACES combines voice recognition and synthetic speech with a sophisticated behavioral model to replicate the behavior of a fighter controller. The Artificial Fighter Controller keeps track of the events of the battle and provides recognized air picture, tactical control and declarations or on spoken request by participating pilots over any simulated radio solution. The built-in Air Combat Speech Recognizer has air combat grammar that’s been tested and verified by active fighter pilots.

The non-intrusive design allows ACES to tap into any HLA (High-Level Architecture)/RPR (Real-time Platform Reference) or DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) based scenario and does not require any modification of existing HLA/RPR or DIS compliant flight simulation system.
