Saab Training and Simulation won a contract to capture data for evidence in support of the U.K. Army Warfighting Experiment (AWE) 18. Cervus will partner with Saab to provide analytical support using its HIVE training data exploitation service to harvest Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) and other data to provide AWE organizers with near-time feedback on competitor performance.
HIVE was developed to make better use of the data that underpins training and warfighting events. HIVE collects and categorizes a variety of collective training data from outputs including observer comments and TES, Command and Staff Trainer (CAST) and Combined Arms Tactical Training systems (CATT). It processes this information and analyzes the data into visual reporting tools that give immediate feedback to training audiences. HIVE can let commanders spot and interpret trends from training, gain context-delivered insights and identify opportunities for enhancements to warfighting.
AWE 18’s Autonomous Warrior competition will test a range of prototype unmanned aerial and ground cargo vehicles with a goal of reducing the danger to troops during combat. British soldiers will test and evaluate the effectiveness of robotic and autonomous systems (RAS) on the battlefield that play a key role in the Army’s strike capability.
