PLEXSYS led a panel discussion at the Global Special Operations Forces (GSOF) Foundation Symposium in Tampa, Florida. Attendees to the symposium included high-level active duty and retired military, police, government civilians, industry, academia, journalists, and non-governmental organizations from over 20 countries. This year, PLEXSYS maintained its reputation as a thought leader and forward-leaning innovator by hosting the panel on Innovation in Military Training and Simulation.
Dr. Frey from PLEXSYS’ Orlando office moderated thediscussion between Maj. Gen. Maria Gervais (Deputy Commanding General, U.S.Army Combined Arms Center), Brig. Gen Michael Sloane (Program ExecutiveOfficer, Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation, U.S. Army), Dr. RobertSiegfried (Vice Chief, Modeling and Simulation Group, North Atlantic TreatyOrganization) and Michael Harris (Acting Executive Director, U.S. ArmyContracting Command). The conversation touched on innovations in themarketplace and the acquisition tools available to design and deploy them.
“These are the exact discussions both industryand the government leaders need to engage in to drive forward the requirementsand deliveries to the men and women serving militaries around the world,” Dr.Frey said when asked how the topic was created for the panel discussion at thisyear’s symposium.
