The 2019 edition of NATO's Computer Assisted Exercise Forum will take place from 24 to 26 September at the  École Militaire in Paris, France. The event's new name is CA2X2 Forum (Computer Aided Analysis, Exercise, Experimentation), which reflects the extended spectrum of the conference.

Organised by the NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence (NATO M&S COE) in Rome, the forum intends to bring together military users, academia and industry. Under one roof, users will announce their needs, researchers present their latest results, and manufacturers and developers showcase existing or upcoming solutions. The event also enjoys the special support of the new AFSim (Association Française pour la Simulation), founded in October 2018.

The NATO CA2X2 Forum general theme is "Transformational Power of Simulation", focused on four main areas:

  • Education, Training and the MS&T Discipline. The human dimension: improving the effectiveness of training, education and the M&S discipline.
  • Innovative Concepts and Experimentation. Application of M&S to support new concepts and best practices: using M&S for experimentation and development of new capabilities.
  • Exercise, Wargaming and Analysis. Operational application of simulation: training, verifying procedures, and decision support.
  • M&S Industry Tools and Solutions. Industry presentations on the latest innovative M&S tools and solutions on the market.

On the final day of the forum, 26 September, the NATO Modelling and Simulation Group is organizing the 16th Workshop on Commercial Technologies and Games for NATO and Nations (MSG-175), to discuss cost-effective commercial technologies and games.
