Simthetiq is supporting the development of critical newvirtual training capabilities for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).
As the first Naval customer for Simthetiq’s 3D contentLibrary, the RCN is drawing on the resources of Simthetiq’s interoperablerepository of 3D content, which are being deployed as plug and play entitymodels for the VBS serious game engine. Simthetiq’s VBS configuration serviceprovides standardized in-game functionality across different vehicle types,allowing for rapid deployment and use.
The 3D content is used by the Naval Personnel and TrainingGroup for advanced seamanship training as a key element of a comprehensiverestructuring of Naval Training System transformation laid out in the RCN’soverall Strategic Plan.
The RCN will benefit from flexible enterprise licensing thatalso allows for additional IG or game engine formats to be made available fromthe same common source; ensuring their visual content investments can adapt tochanging technological or operational requirements.
