entrol has just sold an en-1000x AATD simulator to the Chilean Navy, which will enhance the Navy's pilot training capabilities, offering an immersive and realistic environment for recurrent training programs.
The en-1000x AATD simulator is equipped with a MEP configuration and a G1000 glass cockpit replica, designed to replicate the experience of flying a twin-engine aircraft with complex avionics. It also features specialized rescue scenarios, enabling comprehensive training for search and rescue operations.
It also features a cylindrical three-channel visual system and its configuration supports both IFR and search and rescue training.
The en-1000x includes a global airport database with a focus on key Chilean airports such as: Robinson Crusoe Island, Viña del Mar, Carlos Ibáñez (Punta Arenas), Guardiamarina Zañartu (Puerto Williams), El Tepual (Puerto Montt), Carriel Sur (Concepción), Diego Aracena (Iquique), Chacalluta (Arica), Arturo Merino Benítez (Santiago de Chile) or La Florida (La Serena).
In addition, this unit incorporates real scenarios of search and rescue missions in some places in Chile, such as Robinson Crusoe Island, Viña del Mar and Puerto Williams.
The flight simulator will be certified promptly after its installation, which is expected in June, and will become the second en-1000x simulator installed by entrol in Chile, following the unit certificated for Aeroclub de Carabineros in June 2023.
