Laerdal Medical introduced its new Nursing Anne Simulator during the National League for Nursing (NLN) Summit to support the training and core nursing competencies.
The Nursing Anne Simulator is designed to help nurses to meet all clinical training and curricular requirement for nursing schools and hospitals. Features of the female simulator include:
• Realistic articulation and patient positioning.• Patient assessment & evaluation of patient consciousness.• Palpation of anatomical landmarks.• Auscultation of heart, lung, and bowel sounds.• Administration and management of medication/fluids.• Tetherless operation.
The simulator is operated via a handheld device including Laerdal’s SimPad, SimPad PLUS, or a touchscreen Laerdal Learning Application (LLEAP) PC. This provides nurse educators with convenient support when applying these tools to support learning objectives.
"This new solution will allow nurse educators the ability to provide authentic learning experiences like never before," says David Johnson, President, Laerdal Medical, Americas. Based on the results of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) study, organizations are preparing to replace more (up to 50%) clinical hours with high-quality simulation. Nursing Anne Simulator will fill a critical void in achieving this ambition."To find out more about Laerdal’s Nursing Anne Simulator or to schedule a demonstration, visit www.laerdal.com/nursingannesimulator.
