The  Duke University School of Nursing welcomed its second class of participants to its year-long professional development Emerging Leaders Program for nursing school staff that’s put on by the School of Nursing and Duke Learning & Organization Development, a unit within Duke Human Resources.

The program consists of six sessions that feature coursework and presentations from the university president and leaders in the School of Nursing.

Supervisors and managers nominated staff members, and the School of Nursing’s Executive Leadership Team selected the program’s 10 participants who will explore situational leadership, project management, budgeting, conflict resolution and communication and presentation skills and take on group projects that tackle issues relevant to the  School of Nursing.
