3D Systems released its new ANGIO Mentor ICE Trainer module that trains standard ICE view acquisition in a variety of pathologies, using a real modified ICE catheter handle in a didactic environment.
Catheter-based intra-cardiac echocardiography (ICE) is animaging modality that provides meaningful, real-time anatomicalperi-interventional guidance in treatment of structural heart disease andcardiac arrhythmias. ICE is increasingly adopted to reduce radiation exposureduring AF Ablation.
With the ICE trainer, users can practice fluoroscopic positioning and manipulation of the ICE catheter; ICE standard view acquisition; advanced echo features such as sepia color scheme, depth, gain contrast and freezing/snapshotting the echo image; and learn to interpret intracardiac hemodynamic flow using color doppler.
It features a variety of pathologies including ASD, thick superior limbus and aneurysmal septum; 3D and cardiac cross section views; and anatomical labels to assist in identifying cardiac structures.
