HealthcareSource is expanding its learning management suite of education and training resources to include the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program and HeartCode Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support eLearning programs. The programs are codeveloped by the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical and implemented by RQI Partners LLC, a joint venture partnership between the two organizations.

J.P. Fingado, HealthcareSource president and Chief ExecutiveOfficer said: “We’ve found that continuous access to high-quality education andhands-on training enables healthcare organizations to provide better care, enhance employee skillsets and reduce turnover from improved employeeengagement. Continually adding new content to our talent management platform isanother way we are helping our clients improve outcomes across the entirecontinuum of care.”

The American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical have called for a new standard of care by shifting resuscitation practice from course training once every two years to verified CPR competency for healthcare professionals through low-dose, high-frequency quality improvement, the company says. RQI is a self-directed, simulation-based performance program that offers hands-on learning for CPR quality improvement, verifying competency in ten-minute sessions every 90 days.

The RQI skill-session modules integrate with theHealthcareSource NetLearning learning management system, allowing training datato be stored in the system for tracking and documenting individual learnerperformance.
