Registration is now open for Roswell Park ComprehensiveCancer Center’s Masterclass on Bladder Cancer, taking place from 1-2 May 2019 inBuffalo, New York. The two-day course will feature live Radical Cystectomy andIntracorporeal Urinary Diversion with guideline-based patient scenarios.
This masterclass is designed for urologists and urologytrainees to advance their understanding of clinical bladder cancer management.This includes technical tips and tricks for robot-assisted radical cystectomyfrom experts in the field, as well as different techniques for intra-corporalurinary diversion and non-surgical treatments.
During these two days, attendees will explore the role ofimmunotherapy in bladder cancer treatment, the role of neoadjuvantchemotherapy, how to deal with challenging variations in histology, properperioperative preparation for best outcomes, techniques of cystectomy andintracorporal urinary diversion, principles of uretero-ileal andurethra-neobladder anastomosis, and the best ways to deal with intraoperativecomplications. Participants will also learn from watching a live surgery withcommentary and open discussion.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center hopes attendees willleave this course with a deeper understanding of the best and future treatmentsfor bladder cancer, as well as the best practices for successful robot-assistedcystectomy and intra-corporal urinary diversion. The center also hopes that theinformation learned from its expert speakers will enhance guests’ understandingof bladder cancer management, improve surgical performance, expose guests tonew perspectives, and increase positive outcomes in clinical practice.
