3D Systems has released its new ANGIO Mentor ICE Trainermodule, which is designed for training on standard ICE view acquisition in avariety of pathologies, using a real modified ICE catheter handle in a didacticenvironment.
Catheter-based intra-cardiac echocardiography (ICE) is animaging modality that provides meaningful, real-time anatomicalperi-interventional guidance in treatment of structural heart disease andcardiac arrhythmias. ICE is increasingly adopted to reduce radiation exposureduring AF Ablation.
The module includes ASD, thick superior limbus and aneurysmal septum, 3D and cardiac cross-section views, and anatomical labels on echo assist in identifying cardiac structures.
Users will be able to practice fluoroscopic positioning andmanipulation of the ICE catheter, ICE standard view acquisition, interpretintracardiac hemodynamic flow using color Doppler, and more.
