Polish technological company InventionMed will build a "virtual hospital" in Bydgoszcz to demonstrate and test medical simulators.

InventionMedsaid the $7.45 million project will feature "indispensable researchfacilities" in a five-storey, 3,000 sq metre building.

The Polish Ministry of Development have provided a $4 million grant towards the project.

"The implementation of the investment will allow for a diversification of research and development activities of InventionMed and will direct the company to new operating areas," said Tomasz Kierul, President of the Board of InventionMed S.A.

Established in 2018, InventionMed specialize in the development of medical training simulators in the field of clinical and aesthetic dermatology.

However, the company said it would look to develop training tools in other fields including cardiology, neurosurgery and geriatrics.

Construction on the virtual hospital in northern Poland will start in 10 months.  Kierul said it would help close the research and technological gap existing in Polish medical simulation technology.
