TPC Training has acquired Simutech Multimedia, a provider of simulation based training for maintenance and operations professionals across a wide range of industries.

Simutech represents a key element of the company’s strategy of developing a comprehensive workforce management platform. The addition of Simutech’s training software to TPC’s digital training offering, in-person and virtual instructor led training, EHS solutions and compliance and certification programs allows TPC to add simulation learning to its platform.

The software offers a gamified learning experience where students troubleshoot real world situations in a fully immersive virtual environment. The simulation training and troubleshooting system provided by Simutech will build upon TPC Training’s current product portfolio in assisting the manufacturing industry with overcoming the workforce skills gap. Bridging this skills gap calls for innovative approaches, such as simulation training, to equip employees with the technical skills they need to succeed in the industry.

“Adding the Simutech simulations to our existing digital training offerings is a tremendous benefit to our customer base, who have come to expect innovative and experiential solutions from TPC Training. This enables us to add another hands-on training experience where learners can troubleshoot real world challenges in a virtual environment,” said Derek Dunaway, CEO at TPC Training.

TPC Training continues to accelerate its focus on investing in inventive technologies that will streamline the delivery of workforce management offerings to its customer base. This is one of the largest acquisitions in TPC’s recent history and the company’s third acquisition in less than two years.
