Doctors at Michigan State University have developed a virtual reality (VR) training program to assist first responders in handling mental health crises. The initiative aims to prepare officers to recognize and de-escalate situations involving individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The VR program simulates real-life scenarios, offering an immersive experience for officers to practice effective crisis management.
