Transfr, Inc. has announced the launch of Permission to Dream 2.0: Pathways to Success, an exclusive collaboration with Chris Gardner, author and entrepreneur best known for his story in The Pursuit of Happyness. This program integrates Gardner’s vision with Transfr’s immersive virtual reality (VR) training to create career pathways, particularly for underserved communities. Gardner has also taken on the role of Chief Evangelist at Transfr, where he will work with U.S. institutions to provide learners with access to career preparation programs aimed at securing meaningful jobs that do not require a four-year degree.

Chris Gardner emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “Education, exposure, and preparation are the keys to economic empowerment and breaking the cycle of poverty. Together, we are giving students not just the permission to dream, but the tools to make those dreams a reality.” Gardner’s Permission to Dream initiative, supported by the Chris Gardner Foundation, has inspired thousands nationwide, focusing on economic empowerment and education.

Transfr’s VR training programs offer practical experience in high-demand industries, allowing learners to explore career opportunities and gain relevant skills. The new initiative targets students who may not pursue a traditional college education, aligning with statistics from the Opportunity Index and Pew Research that highlight a significant need for alternative career pathways. The program is expected to extend its reach, building on the foundation of Gardner’s work with over 100,000 students and Transfr’s existing VR training for more than 400,000 learners. Permission to Dream 2.0 aims to provide thousands more with tangible tools and pathways for career success by 2025.
