Perth Airport operator ACS Aviation celebrated the success of graduates and the many achievements of staff and members at the 2022 Awards Dinner held at the Mercure Hotel in Perth city centre.
The evening began with a welcome by local Scone resident master of ceremonies (MC) Brian Baxter, marking this special occasion for the organisations inaugural awards dinner. During the evening there were awards presented to students, graduates and employees recognising a broad range of areas including flight training achievements, reaching career milestones, excellence in customer service and for services to the local community.
The award categories & winners were as follows: Graduate of the Year: Will Travis; Member of the Year: Drew Brown; Employee of the Year: Bass Chennells; Award for Customer Service: Jeni Malloch; Award for Services to the Company: Glen Corcoran; and Services to Local Community: Tom Smith.
The awards dinner concluded with a Special Recognition award presented to the distinguished Dai Heather Hayes, who has made a significant contribution to the Academy and the Aviation industry throughout his career. His brief but heart-warming speech was followed by a standing ovation demonstrating what a respected and inspiring colleague he is to so many.
