Republic Airways has selected VRpilot’s virtual reality (VR) pilot training solution, VRflow, for its Embraer E170/E175 operation. Republic Airways has already begun initial implementation work of VRpilot’s technology. Concurrently, Leadership in Flight Training (LIFT) Academy, founded by Republic Airways Holdings, will deploy VRflow for their fleet of Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft for a standardized procedure training suite across the entire operation.

Nirav Shah, CIO, Republic Airways, shared: “In our efforts to continue to modernize the training, we are very excited to partner with VRpilot to launch this VR-based training for E170/175, DA40 and DA42. Having technology at the core of everything we do allows us to embrace initiatives like this that not only elevate our team member experience and learning but also help to continue to modernize the aviation industry.”

Thor Paulli Andersen, Partner, VRpilot, shared: “We are proud to offer the current and future pilots of Republic Airways with our products, offering them a standardized procedure training experience from ab initio training at LIFT Academy throughout their career as airline pilots with Republic Airways.”

Each of Republic Airways and LIFT Academy will deploy VRpilot’s procedure training platform, VRflow, on Meta Quest Pro headsets.
