Sofema Online (SOL) has introduced a series of specialized security training packages designed to address the evolving challenges of aviation security. The new programs cover critical areas such as dangerous goods handling, passenger and baggage security, and both aviation and cyber security, equipping aviation professionals with the knowledge and skills needed for effective security and compliance.

One of the training packages, the Pax & Baggage Security Package, offers four courses that focus on the screening of passengers and their baggage, safeguarding against unlawful interference, and understanding insider threats in aviation security. These courses are designed to improve competency in handling security issues related to dangerous goods and other essential security operations.

Another package, the Airline Operations Security Package, targets non-security aviation staff and provides an introduction to both aviation and cyber security. The courses aim to build a foundation in key areas such as aviation security, the responsibilities of EASA-compliant organizations regarding cybersecurity, and insider threats.

The Airline Operations Quality & Safety Awareness Package offers courses that focus on proactive measures to maintain safety and high-quality standards within the industry. This package includes courses on aviation security for non-security staff, safeguarding against unlawful interference, and the responsibilities surrounding cybersecurity, along with an introduction to passenger and baggage reconciliation and insider threats in aviation security.

Each of these packages is designed to provide aviation professionals with valuable skills that can enhance security protocols, improve operational safety, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
